Lower Mainland gas tax plan encouraging for region's LRT plans (Saanich News)
Members of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission say it's a promising development as they look for ways to fund a light rail line between downtown Victoria and Langford.
That does not mean that I want LRT before we have settled the desperate need for E&N commuter operations to and from Victoria, or at least Langford! Malahat congestion will not be solved until there is an alternate route south from Mill Bay; and, neither will the TC Hwy congestion be solved without Westhills and Langford residents have established public transit trust.
